I STILL LIVE!

sooooo reason why I haven't really been active is because my laptop has been having issues. Well not really my laptop, but my ac adapter - it doesn't charge my battery anymore, which is lame seeing as how i bought it in september DX looks like it might be something with the nib/connector piece that actually goes into the computer (as I bought a universal adapter that has different nibs), so I'm sending it to the company (which are thankfully local statewise so hopefully it won't take long to get back). I'm on my sister's notebook right now, so if I don't respond right away, its because my computar access is limited.

YAOI CON 2009 REPORT
Very fun con this year! to keep this journal from getting too long, I'll just throw in some quick recaps:
Friday
-got to con late because I had to finish up some Black*Star bits and I had to wait for the ups to redeliver my body suit for Kurobara ><
-soon as I got over to San Mateo, I changed into Gijinka!Umbreon for a night time Pokemon shoot with as Duskull and as Haunter, with and "2.0" playing photographers. Ton of fun, minus it being really cold
-got back to the room and worked on some Black*Star stuff some more until it was time for sleep

Saturday
-was originally going to wear Findor for the earlier half of the day...yeah that didn't happen T_T had to finish up more Black*Star stuff so I just ended up wearing that all day (kinda bummed me out really, I always wear Bleach to a con ): ). But Black*Star was a lot of fun to wear, since I had a most awesome group to run around with! My Tsubaki scythes weren't finished in time, but they'll be done in time for 's super special awesome epic SOUL EATER photo extravaganza shoot XD (super stoked for that btw!)
-oh so remember that special secret-thing I had mentioned I would be doing at the con? well....I was invited to be a masquerade judge! And not just me, but and too. We all wore Soul Eater (myself as Black*Star, Anti as Death the Kid, and Kitty as Arachne). The three of us had hoped (who was another fellow judge) would wear her awesome Liz Thompson cosplay, but she wore a fantastic Kuroshitsuji cosplay instead because it was cold (which I probably would have done too, it got pretty nippy in the evening hours >< ). Having done this for the first time, I have to say watching the masquerade as a judge is a completely different experience than watching as an audience member - I had to take notes! Good and fast note-taking skills came in handy XD Had a great time doing it and would totally do it again if I was ever asked.
-After the masq, our entire Soul Eater group changed into the Halloween-ified versions of the characters we had been cosplaying during the day: DTK the Vampire, Werewolf!Black*Star, Mummy!Giriko, SpiderWitch!Arachne, and Zombie!Mifune (:iconanti-ai-chan, myself, , , and respectively). OMG so much fun! Ginryuu and I got some really awesome shots of us on the rooftop tiles that were accessible from the second floor patio (we had to be all ninja so we wouldn't get caught lol). I really can't wait to see the shots Bishop came up with.

Sunday
-debuted Kurobara - super comfy costume was a birthday present from Kitty (which we still need to get Senryou & Kurobara shots together with at some really pretty Japanese garden or something lol). I wasn't really expecting anyone to recognize me, but someone did! It made me happy X3 they were all like "Where's your Senryou?" and I had to point out that Kitty was in Cloud at the time and she'd change into Senryou later XD
-had an awesome lunch with Duo, Kitty, Ai-chan, Wren, Ginryuu, and Katie
-oh and speaking of Duo, major shout out to her for letting me and everyone else room with her - she's the most awesome roommate, and always had the most hilarious and entertaining stories to tell ( "ARE YOU RELAXED?" was the title quote of the con XD ).
overall YaoiCon was awesome, can't wait for next year!

End of Year Plans:
Ok so Kitty and I are organizing our Christmas In The Park event again this year on DECEMBER 5TH - check out the member organized gatherings forum on cosplay.com and look for the Christimas in the Park gathering in SAN JOSE (theres another separate meetup being planned in GoldenGate Park). Should be good times like last year
I've also, as of today, officially begun on my SFCBF costume XD CRAZY EARLY I know, but I am damn determined to get up on that float and I am not wasting any time getting started on things. Major work won't begin until I'm on winter break, but I'm starting on accessory stuff first. As to what the costume is? THE WHEEL OF FATE IS TURNING....
thats a pretty decent hint (no telling, those who already know!) as to what series at least - character I'll let you guys mull over who until I put up some progress shots of stuff.
